We pride ourselves in practicing ethically and honestly, always taking the time to explain our findings.  We always consider all appropriate treatment options and try to present the most conservative plans, when possible.  It is important for us to be helpful to our patients and answer any questions you might have regarding your child’s dental care.

Starting early with prevention and good habits will help build a life-long smile and relationship with your pediatric dentist. Thank you for trusting us with one of the most joyful gifts a child has to offer, their smile!

policies

We are open from 8:00am to 4:30pm

Monday through Thursday.

We do close for lunch from 12:00pm to 1:00pm.

Appointment Scheduling

The office attempts to schedule appointments at your convenience and when time is available. Preschool children should be seen in the morning because they are fresher and we can work more slowly with the child for their comfort. School children with a lot of work to be done should be seen in the morning for the same reason. Dental appointments are an excused absence. Missing school can be kept to a minimum when regular dental care is continued.

Since appointment times are reserved exclusively for each patient we ask that you please notify our office 48 hours in advance of your scheduled appointment time if you are unable to keep your appointment. Another patient who needs our care could be scheduled if we have sufficient time to notify them. We realize that unexpected things can happen, but we ask for your assistance in this regard.

Missed Appointment Fee

The second time a patient does not show up on time for an appointment or cancels with less than a 48 hour notice, it will be at the doctors discretion if the patient can remain in the practice.  Any future scheduled appointments will need to be paid in full prior to scheduling an appointment or receiving any dental treatment.  If you can not pay up front for your services we will be happy to assist you in transferring your child's records to another dentist.

Our Team

Dr. Tiffany and her team are dedicated to great dental experiences.

We, along with the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, recommend you bring your child in by his or her first birthday.

During your first visit, you will be introduced to our Pediatric Dental Team, given an office tour and and given an opportunity to discuss your child's unique smile and ways to keep it beautiful for years to come.

Depending on the age of your child, he or she will either be given a knee-to-knee examination (where your baby’s head will rest on our doctor’s knee while their body is on your lap) or a regular exam in the doctor’s chair.

We request that you complete our First Visit Forms prior to arriving for your appointment. This helps our office keep your and everyone else’ scheduled visit on time.

Your initial exam will last approximately one hour. Oral hygiene instructions will also be given with suggestions to help your child care for their own teeth. In most cases, we will also clean their teeth on this visit, and provide an evaluation that will outline any existing dental problems and proposed treatment.

Establishing Your Child’s Dental Home

The American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry encourages parents and other care providers to help every child establish a dental home by 12 months of age. Establishing a dental home provides some key components to dental care for your child including...

  • Comprehensive oral health care including acute care and preventive services.

  • Individualized preventive dental health program based upon a caries-risk assessment.

  • Anticipatory guidance regarding growth and development.

  • Plan for acute dental trauma (emergencies).

  • Dietary counseling.

  • Referrals to dental specialists when care cannot directly be provided within the dental home.

  • Referral at an age determined by patient, parent, and pediatric dentist.

What is a Pediatric Dentist?

A Pediatric Dentist like Dr. Tiffany is a specialist dedicated to the oral health of children and the monitoring of their facial growth and development. Our office is designed for treating children from infancy through adolescence, as well as the medically and the physically compromised. In our opinion, taking your child to see a pediatric dental specialist is as important as taking them to see a pediatrician.

What is a Board Certified

Pediatric Dentist?

When a Pediatric Dentist is Board Certified it means that the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry or ABPD certifies that the dental care being provided is based on standards of excellence that lead to high quality oral health care for infants, children, adolescents and patients with special health care needs. Certification by the ABPD provides assurance to the public that a Pediatric Dentist like Dr. Tiffany have successfully completed accredited training and a voluntary examination process designed to continually validate the knowledge, skills and experience necessary to the delivery of quality patient care.

orthodontics

It is never too late or too early to think about orthodontics.

Whether your child is just starting grade school or high school, we would like to give you the information necessary for your child to have a beautiful smile that lasts a lifetime.

We begin treatment when the lower two permanent teeth have erupted (ages 5-7).

The advantages of early treatment include:

  • Moving the front teeth back so they will be less susceptible to injury.

  • Improving the relationship of upper and lower jaws, allowing more normal future growth and development.

  • Using maximum advantage of growth for successful treatment.

  • Improving facial appearance and self esteem.

  • Taking advantage of the good cooperation of patients at this age.

  • Possibly avoiding or reducing the need for further treatment when patients are older.
